Last Friday, as part of NAIDOC week, we had a special flag-raising ceremony at our Sydney HQ on Cleveland St. It’s the first Australia Post site to have all three flags installed. Thanks to all who attended, especially ARA Indigenous Services/CMC for installing the flag poles, Uncle Colin Lyons for performing a smoking ceremony and the Indigenous students from Wollongong High School of the Performing Arts for singing a Torres Strait Islander song and a wonderful Acknowledgement to Country.

If you can, please send us a PM with any recent tracking numbers as examples as well as your delivery address, we can take a look into this for you. - Nick

Been waiting on Aust post to be in touch via phone or email as soon as we can due to a case I raised with a parcel they lost back 20th June 2019. have rung Aust post a number of times and each time the person i spoke to at Aust post gave me a time frame on when I would hear back from Aust Post. That time frame has come and gone 3 times and are still waiting. Disappointing when I ordered a package at the same time from China which they said would take 60 days to be delivered and I received it in 5 days. 😕

Australia Post - That's really confusing Damien, I've had a look and we've never received a PM from you here on Facebook, from the looks of it this message is the first time you have ever contacted us here, under this name/account at any rate. By all means go ahead and send those details through and I'd be more than happy to have a look over the case for you. :) - Liam

Send on through the case number or tracking number, your address, email and phone number so I can pass a privacy check again any details listed under the case. Then we can go from there and see what is going on for you. - Liam

Elizabeth Peters how about looking after those doing it tough who have no fixed address and getting them set up for things like Centrelink which is difficult to obtain WITHOUT AN ADDRESS! It’s clear with your entitled attitude you’ve never done it tough in your life! Here’s Australia Post giving people a helping hand to get people set up in life and here’s the entitled society telling those who are doing it tough that they don’t deserve the help because the entitled society need it more. *slow clap*  15

Wow, you really have no idea how easy it is to become homeless do you?  2
3 weeks ago
Elizabeth I used to work with the mentally ill and often they were homeless, not having a fixed address was very difficult for them when job hunting or trying to access services. It's not that they weren't trying to so better it's just that they were at such a disadvantage already.  2
3 weeks ago
You're a happy human, aren't you Elizabeth...  1
3 weeks ago
Elizabeth Peters being as none of your tax dollars go to Australia post I think your safe there, maybe you should motivate yourself to educate yourself?  1
3 weeks ago
Personally I’m a very happy person who’d prefer people to actually motivate themselves to “do better!” Whether that’s doing alternative work to actually contribute to our society not simply “ be given products have to be paid for by MY TAX!” So personally you can #KEEPYOURCOMMENTS! I DON’T CARE! 🤷🏼‍♀️
3 weeks ago
Eww. Because you pay and they have no money to pay and sleep on the street, you deserve better? We are all human.

Given the number of empty boxes at Post Offices at least Aus Post has come up with a sensible way to fill them.  2
3 weeks ago
Yay not that will help them sleep at night right???  1
3 weeks ago
It will help them greatly. For without having an address of any kind, renders help from such services as Centrelink (among others) as very difficult to obtain. Without a mailbox, there is simply nowhere for their mail to go to, which then results in a homeless person not being able to advance and make progress in improving their situation.  21

That is so very kind

Mathew Winchester I've had about 4 lost this year alone. Let's not even mention the misplaced ones. The ones that arrive weeks later. The delays that are constant. I've had a delayed package just This week. Stores I shop at do not offer different shipping options. There is one set shipping provider and most don't have physical stores. But thank you for relating your life to mine in no way at all and rambling on my comment

Lucky you David...in 5 years I've had 9 disappear off the face of the earth.....I currently have one sent from Brisbane....went to Melbourne and after investigation find it back here in Brisbane being redirected back to Melbourne. And this isn't a first for me nor many others.....My story is more common than yours.
Karen Cassidy thanks Karen it absolutely is. Just Because one or two people haven't had an issue. Doesn't mean the rest of us are in the same boat.
Deanna Farr in the 15 years I have shopped online, AusPost have only lost a package on me ounce. And they still managed to find it and get it back within 4 days. When it comes to the speed of the post, then yes they aren't always the quickest, but I also recognise that sometimes it is just their shipping route that slows them down. Can I order something from Germany faster than I can order something from Melbourne (I live on the NSW side of the the Vic/NSW border)? Yes I can, but that is more attributed to the fact that other shipping companies are actually very very fast. If AusPost loose everything you sebd/receive, and you haven't decided to use a different provider, then I'm shocked you haven't fixed your own issues...

I've had boxes where I can fit my fist into because the hole is so large. Also, your team never actually deliver. Three suggestions; 1. hire more staff to deal with extended delays. 2. get rid of automatic scanners...more troublesome then what they are worth. 3. revise information, one can see tracking etc on screen, yet 'revised', 'delayed' tells me nothing...plus covering Auspost by inserting it could be another 3 business days because of some stuff up is not good enough. *thankyou to the staff i did talk to, one followed up,(Mick) being very specific re whereabouts of my plants...last lot travelling between two facillities for two weeks before I enquired...further dealys, arriving moldy, hence dead and half my money reimbursed after much running around although obvious!  1

Australia Post - Thanks for the suggestions Dona. We are always looking at ways to upgrade the delivery networks and systems, as technology keeps evolving it does make some changes much more feasible, definitely keep an eye out for any posts about upcoming changes as they often are listed via social media or on the website! Sorry to hear about your plants as well, but I'm really glad Mike was able to help you out with that one already. - LiamP

Well done Australia Post. Your motorbike postie is at it again. Its a very simple mail box. slot in the front for mail, lift the lid for larger or items that dont fit. My parents had the same over 40 years ago. you would think a postie would know this. But no, it was just forced in leaving half sticking out in the rain. And it was bent and broken from being forced. Every 3 to 6 months this happens. So tired of it.
Australia Post - Hi Matt, If there is adequate space for items to be delivered and the postie has been forcing mail into the box and damaging it, then you have every right to be angry about it. We can definitely follow this up for you and get the issue resolved, can you send us a private message with some more details, such as a tracking number and photos of the damage? We can look at compensation for you as well if your goods were damaged. Seiji
4 weeks ago
They do that a lot Matt. I've had parcels clearly marked Do Not Bend yet they have been folded up and crammed into the mail slot to the point where they have ripped. Also had parcels left on the ground next to mailbox in pouring rain. Yet small parcels the size of a standard envelope that fit in the box they leave a card there asking me to come and pick it up. You complain till you're blue in the face yet nothing is done about it except Aus Post doing their "We understand your frustration" routine. In any other job they'd be sacked for incompetence or sheer laziness. I also had a staff member at the post office tell me they cant do anything about the drivers as they don't work for them. What rubbish
4 weeks ago
Greg Clark yep. About every 6 months or so. This happens again and again. All they do blame everyone but themselves. No accountability. No money back for what they broke. And the next day they are congratulating themselves again on Facebook or some other media. They can’t even be bothered to let you know they will be closed up here. And they then send your Parcels to a different town. It’s a joke really. If they had to compete against any other company, they would lose overnight. Guess it proves you can do what you want when you have a monopoly.

Australia Post why can you not face your own lies? You've been busted red handed. ;) For anyone other than Australia Post reading this, Australia post is trying to deliver an item that they have denoted as being delivered already. Yeap you read that right. Damn spanners if you ask me, must have a few nuts lose. Then Australia Post claims no one was in attendance when I have sent them a video of actually speaking to the delivery driver at the same time it was noted no one in attendance. I mean really, the drivers should know their scanners have trackers which show where they are and er the video I sent clearly shows myself talking with the supposed driver. But anyhow let's surpass all that for a mo shell we. I take note Australia Post state "This delivery doesn't require a signature. It will be left if it's safe to do so." Yet other packages from Australia post mind you. Are left in the lobby inferring that it is a safe place to leave items where no signature is required. Go figure that one out. Now Australia Post wants me to waste more of my time chasing them. Stuff me drunk, only been on the phone to them for 3 hours so far. Now they want me to spend more time. Deadset useless IMO. Oh and my tracking number: 5QAZ50149235FPP00001 I would suggest anyone look up that tracking number to see exactly what I'm talking about.  1

Daniel Bell I managed to track it down myself. Went to the wrong address. Driver said no one was home. I went down and picked it up myself. It's just lucky I work next-door to an AusPost distribution centre so was able to track down the driver. Would still be waiting if I left it to the online missing item report  1

Similar story but card went to wrong address, some time later a red card stating to pick up ASAP as it has been sitting waiting, and will be returned...LPO guy explained away the fault of the couriers, no help to me, as i didn't get first card or delivered to wrong address..stating safe place, I've had to pick up more times then what i care for...and yes being home, is frigging annoying!

Jared Rowe I'd be questioning where is this "safe place" and request a photo. It took me over 2 weeks to eventually get my article delivered with no thanks to Australia Post. I even had Australia Post tell me I refused delivery "after" I sent them a video inc audio showing I didn't even refuse. All in all, good luck with it. Keep venting at Aus post and remind them over n over, this is a complaint, not feedback and always demand to speak to a manager.
Daniel Bell Mine also says "delivered" and "left in a safe place". I work at a shop and we were open at the time recorded, no delivery and no photo was taken of the"safe place" like it should be. So either driver is an idiot or a thief I just want my item

Anyone who posted express Monday or Tuesday, their parcels are lost 27/05/2019 and 28/05/2019
7 weeks ago
Australia Post - Hey Lynn, Parcels posted on Monday and Tuesday are definitely not lost, it's just that there was a system error where the post office they were lodged at was registered against the barcode rather than the destination postcode. When our sorting machines read the barcodes they think it's destined for the origin postcode and sort it there instead. These parcels are instead being sorted manually which will take more time than the machines. If there's a parcel of you'rs that your concerned about, just private message us the tracking number, destination postcode and whether you're the sender or addressee and we'll help out. - Nathan

So yet again Australia Post, doesn't.... In true predictability the postie arrives 11:15am this morning, Before I could get off the lounge and out the door (10~15sec's) the mail has been dumped into the mail box(at least!!!) and the motorbike off down the footpath.... Continued to fetch said mail and retrieved 3 letters and a card to pick-up a parcel at 2pm. Yet again had to waste 5kms of fuel to do AustPost's job.... And will I say again, instead of trying to 'look good' with all the other s..t you do like fund raising, picking up kids toys, and other UNRELATED stuff, why not just deliver the damn mail..................😠

Here is a tip for you Australia Post, if your delivery drivers are going to keep this nonsense up these videos are going to go viral. PS: How can you deliver an Item you claim is already delivered? The mind boggles, it really does.

I just heard my doorbell so went to the door to see who it was. I could see no one but a van in my driveway. The shrubs preventing me from seeing it more clearly. It could have been anyone. Possibly intent on harming me. I am a disabled person and therefore vulnerable. I called out to the man already getting into his van. What do you want. He calls back (does not pause in getting back in his van) in a barely intelligible voice that I had to get him to repeat a couple of times. That there was a letter under the mat. He did not identify himself at all but I am sure when I finally get to see the letter, when someone comes to my door that I can ask to get the letter out from under the mat where I cannot get it, that it will declare itself as having been delivered by Australia post. Why oh why was it put under my mat and not in my letter box?  1

I am writing to complain about a service that Australia Post advertises but is unable to provide. As I am taking out a new mortgage, I need my identity verified by Australia Post. I visited two Australia Post branches today, 14th May 2019, and despite providing all the certificates/documentation* required the staff at both branches were unable or incapable of processing my documentation. *(1) Australian driver’s licence, (2) Full birth certificate, (3) Medicare Card, (4) Marriage Certificate I first visited the Nuriootpa Australia Post Branch but was unable to have my identity verified as I did not have an Australian Birth Certificate. This was despite pointing out that under Category 3 it only states a Full Birth Certificate is required not an Australian Full Birth Certificate. Secondly, I visited the Tanunda Australia Post Branch and got past the issue with the Birth Certificate but was declined due to the fact that the dating system on my Marriage Certificate did not match the systems dating system. As I provided all the documentation necessary as outlined in the Land Title Identity Verification Form and was declined, could you please tell me how I am able to get my identity verified?  1
9 weeks ago
Australia Post - Hi Melanie. I'm very sorry to hear you're having this issue as having your ID verified should be a straight forward and easy process, and I'm not sure why our retail staff would have rejected your request if you had all the correct documents ready. I can see we're speaking with you over private messages to discuss this, and what other options we can provide you further. We’ll continue further communication there as we will likely need more information to assist. – April

Australia Post Thank you for your response. I agree the process should have been simple and straightforward. But given that I attempted this at two different post offices, this would suggest that staff need significant up skilling or Australia Posts computer system is faulty or deficient. I’m sure you will be able to verify with both Post Offices that I had the documentation as outlined on form and I have scanned copies of these. I look forward to Australia Post resolving this issue.

Last week a Rural Aid convoy, led by an Australia Post truck, arrived in Broken Hill as part of our ongoing drought response. Nicole Sheffield, our Executive General Manager of Community & Consumer, was on hand to greet the convoy and meet farmers receiving hay funded by Australia Post donations for every Drought Relief Stamp Pack sold. Thanks to all who bought the stamp packs. Over $200,000 was donated to support Australian farmers: https://auspo.st/2J1XPeb

Ken - As I understand it, the issue in this sort of situation is that Aust Post relies upon the sender to complain, not the intended recipient. This is because Aust Post views the sender as the "owner" of the mail, the person with the largest stake in the matter. So, in order to get action, the sender needs to lodge a complaint with Aust Post or, if Aust Post won't act, with the Postal Ombudsman.

Hi Melanie, They found it....at last!

Australia Post delivered a parcel to the wrong address. They know where it is and were in contact with the recipients. They are taking no action to retrieve the item. = theft or mail tampering. Not cool Australia Post, not cool.

horrible service. you have lost 30% of our business parcels in the last 3 weeks. More and more orders are being lost and the items not lost are taking 3 weeks to arrive instead of a few days, i dont understand how you can make so much money and pay your ceos and other fat lazy works millions yet you can't improve your services? I've been told without getting insurance on the 1000 parcels we send a week you cant help us in any way shape or form. We are not getting insurance and paying you guys even more money (thats all you care about). If you lose our parcels you should at least credit the postage cost which you have refused to do every single time i have asked. you can say you will look into it and yoru sorry but ive been hearing this for years from Auspost and not 1 thing has changed or improved. we have been using au post for over 20years for our business and we have decided that next week we are using a different courier company. we have given you millions and this is how we are treated. if the CEO or anything higher up knew about the treatment we have had over this time i'm sure thigns would get better but this will never happen. We are going to be tlaking about this on 3AW Radio tomorrow morning, please tune in.

The sad reality when an urgent parcel can safely make its way from Saint Louis, Missouri USA all the way to Burleigh Heads, yet cannot make its way safely to my front door in Currumbin Waters. Tracking says it has arrived and yet ... no parcel. 😢 We are also still waiting for two wedding invitations, that we know were sent from Brisbane to the correct address, which didn't arrive either in the past year. Something is starting to get a little suspicious. Sadly, our bills all still arrive right on time. You are welcome to lose some of them if you want? 😂  1

Australia Post - We're happy to respond to you publicly, Clinton, we only request that you send us your personal details privately for obvious reasons. I've just checked our system and can see that your address and the others in your area only receive 'Road Side Delivery' service. What this means is that you'll get deliveries for letters and small parcels not requiring a signature which can also fit in your letterbox. Everything else will be carded for collection directly from the local post office. It's just part of living in a rural or regional area I'm afraid. - Nick

Australia Post - Not every address is able to receive the same service, but if you could PM us your address, we'll check it out for you. - Cat
10 weeks ago
Australia Post - Hi Clinton, Whether safe drop is available or not is not determined by post code. It's based on the specific address and whether or not there is a suitable safe location, usually near the front door where a delivery driver can leave a parcel if no one is home. Some rural addresses don't receive deliveries to the door and have a Roadside Delivery service. In these cases there may not be a safe place to leave a parcel at that roadside location but if you do normally receive deliveries to your door then I would expect safe drop to be possible as long as there was a suitable safe place to leave a parcel. As Cat mentioned last week, please PM us your address so that we can look into this further for you. -Casey

Australia Post has lost my parcel and it is impossible to track or receive a refund for the item. Both myself and your customer a commercial business have lodged complaints without any success. This is not acceptable. After the bad publicity recently showing how Australia Post handles our packages I would have hoped for better. 14 days Melborne to Brisbane and still not parcel or traceability when I ordered another item same day from the UK and I received it in 5 days. The response I received from Australia Post in response to my Complaint was appalling. Hannah closed the case even though she did and achieved absolutely nothing. Come Australia Post get your act together. Please sort this out. Update for Investigation - 24823653 Hi Danny Thanks for your patience while we’ve been looking into the enquiry you made for parcel W2L000496501000930303, that you’ve been expecting to receive. I’m pleased to confirm that the sender of your parcel has now made contact with us, which allows us to finalise this enquiry. This case will now be closed as we continue our investigation directly with the sender. We have all of the details and case history required to help resolve this issue as quickly as possible. We’ll respond to them with the outcome and any next steps. In the event that the parcel is lost, please speak to your sender for further assistance I hope that this information has helped. Australia Post I have sent a second email tonight. I had a long conversation with an Australia Post representative 2 weeks ago when this happened previously and went into great detail, the front door is absolutely unseen from the street. I have my groceries delivered regularly and left at the front door. In the last month I have had 2 courier deliveries with rather large household items, also left at the front door. I explained all this to the Australia Post representative and she eventually agreed that yes, I was right and she would either speak or notify the delivery driver that items should be left.

I On Tuesday the 24th of April. At 13.47.08 precisely I had a parcel of books tossed over a 6 foot high fence! The parcel was only wrapped in medium grade cardboard and was sent from the UK by the Book Depository. The value of the books is 48 dollars! I am a pensioner and I can’t afford to replace the books again. At the time the parcel was tossed over the fence it was raining. It had been raining intermittently all day and continued to rain even more after the delivery, I was not aware there had been a delivery. usually when parcels are delivered, the postie brings the items to the veranda where they are protected from the elements, I am very disappointed in the sheer disregard of my books. The episode was recorded on my CCTV so there is no dispute or discrepancies on the facts. I will be seeking a full reimbursement of the cost of my books.. The books were soaked, one was so badly soaked I could not pick it up in one piece the second one is not much better but badly spoilt. The two books were to be gifts for my two nieces who live in Melbourne. I am travelling there in May. Even if I ordered the books again I would not receive them in time of my departure. I am really cross with the postie and his disregard for my parcel. The man was too lazy to get of his bike and take the parcel to a safer place a thirty second walk. The mind boggles at peoples disrespect and blatant stupidity.. everybody knows that cardboard and rain do not mix! And tossing a parcel over the fence to boot.  1

I can assure you that we do everything we can to ensure your items are delivered within the estimated delivery dates however when transiting millions of items on any given day, it is likely that some may have delays. If this item or any others you are expecting have exceeded the estimated delivery date please feel free to PM us the tracking number and we can investigate the matter further for you - Delilah

Simon Hill they usually get it there in less than half that time (their calculator says 3-5 days) and I love just outside of Brisbane who sends stuff to my dogs breeder and she gets it in about that time frame.
